The Poppy Parker luncheon was held on Friday noon and in it the attendees got to see two new dolls - the centerpiece and the giveaway. Since it was still before the arrival of the container that was held in customs, the giveaway Poppy was only shown on a slide and was given to the happy owners next day.

Very seventies disco glam babe vibe. Not my cup of tea for Poppy (Adele or Ayumi would totally rock this in different, darker colours) but it works. Her make up is gorgeous and should work well with other evening outfits.

Poppy has lost a bit of her luster lately. There's just something about the sculpt that doesn't appeal as much (her lips?). The blonde hair doesn't work for me on the centerpiece doll. After having recently purchased the Kimiko Gunn/Tina Tanaka and Colour My World/Darla Daley dolls, I'm a bit over bangs for the time being -- but I do like the giveaway's hair color.
