It seems that Integrity Toys has an airline and they're hiring! Just kidding people! The giftset that was announced at the Cinematic convention finally did make an appearance as a lottery opportunity for the right to buy one of the 800 Poppy Parker IT Airways sets offered to members of  Club only. It is a gorgeous set, with a beautiful doll (Poppy in a bob and bangs is always great looking) and two colourful outfits that fit perfectly with the other Model Scene dolls. The story goes that Poppy is now a spokesmodel for IT Airways. After the doll photos, you can see the probable inspirations for the outfits.

Poppy Parker is a 12-inch fully articulated vinyl fashion doll with rooted hair and hand applied eyelashes. Poppy comes in a mod coat accented with lime green trim, a multi-color print shift dress with matching hat, and a two piece bright pink belted suit with apple green turtleneck. Mid calf boots, flats, earrings, lapel pin, and a white travel case with the IT Airways logo complete the ensemble. A doll stand is included. For adult collectors ages 15 and up.

And here are some of the probable inspirations for the outfits - mainly the Branliff air hostess uniforms designed by Emilio Pucci ins the mid and late 60s. Pucci’s clear plastic helmets were called Rain Domes, and they were meant to keep those 60s hairstyles protected from the elements. However, the impracticality of the Rain Dome was imminently apparent. They cracked easily and were abandoned after one month, as there was no space in the overhead bins, or anywhere in the cabin, to store the large plastic bubbles. Pity we do not get one for Poppy. Braniff also enlisted the first lady of American shoe design, Beth Levine, the designer of Nancy Sinatra’s boots for “These Boots Were Made for Walkin’” publicity, to create both leather and plastic footwearfor the crew.

I love the Rayna sculpt and do not own one yet. I am entering this lottery hoping to get her. She's easily the best doll of the bunch. Rare Jewel is a fully articulated 12-inch vinyl doll with long, rooted hair and hand applied eyelashes. I think it's the cut of the outfit that breaks this doll. This print needed something more modern to stand out. The face is beautiful though. Easily awarded best shoes of the bunch. I do not like the lips here, the rest is perfect. These last two dolls must be the first with the FR2 body. Is it me or does her head look a tad too big for her body? Such a lovely doll otherwise, perfect combinations of colour. Integrity promised lots of exciting new things for the W Club members this holiday season and the first one has just been announced: That Holiday Feeling Poppy Parker doll! Poppy Parker's creator David Buttry and all who attended the GLOSS convention in Orlando were privy to an exclusive sneak peek of the next doll in the Poppy Parker 5th Anniversary collection. So, just in time for the holidays, a Christmas Poppy is offered via "right-to-buy" lottery to W Club members only.

Poppy Parker is a fully articulated 12-inch vinyl fashion doll with fully rooted hair and delicately hand-applied eyelashes. Poppy is dressed for the holidays in a long ball gown, her shoulders covered by a rich fur trimmed red velvet cape. Accessories and a doll stand are also included. She looks like a princess from a fairytale combined with a real princess of the 50s - think a very young princess Elizabeth or Margaret from England or Grace Kelly if she was a brunette. It's a Poppy with a look right back into the 50s which will definitely satisfy the fans that were not that into her early 70s disco look from the convention. Her 800 edition means that people taking part in the lottery have a better chance of securing the right to purchase this beautiful doll. I love the screening as well.

I hope the "fur" trim looks better in real life as in close up it looks a bit tattered. Maybe it would have been better if it had the texture of shaved mink (not real one of course) and more velvety instead of feathery. I love the white-on-white embroidery on the bodice.

Her accessories are a pair of gloves, kitten heal shoes with a bow (again!), a clutch bag, a mistletoe brooch (cute), a fur muff, a pearl necklace, matching bracelet and pearl stud earrings. These look a bit meagre for such a look - a triple strand necklace and matching triple strand bracelet with clasp would have looked so much better, not to mention at least a pair of pearl drop earrings instead of simple studs. No woman in the 50s would be content with these earrings for such a glamorous holiday look for a ball. And finally, the shoes have been done to death. No new design inspiration?

Her bow does not sit well on her hair but its the prototype photos, I hope it looks better in real life. She is a very glamorous looking lady.

W Club members were alerted a couple of weeks ago with a sneak peek preview email, where one could see snippets of parts of a doll that would be unveiled soon. Today is the day and the doll is another Victoire Roux available via two lotteries: one for the W Club and one for the general public. The club members are entering for part of the edition specially reserved for them and the lottery is at the end of the month. For everyone else, all you need to do is email Integrity Toys with your name and address for details on how to enter - lottery will be on the 15th of September.

"Sous Les Tropiques" Victoire Roux™ is a fully articulated 12-inch vinyl doll with a rooted hairstyle. This basic Victoire Roux doll is sporting a turquoise and brown floral bikini with a coordinated sleeveless robe. Her accessories include a beach bag, earrings, bracelets, headband and sandals! I really like this one - finally a different hairstyle that is more versatile. It can be worn with either day or evening outfits. The fashion is fun and playful but I'd rather have a more glamorous swimsuit style (a one piece maybe?). She's missing a hat and sunglasses, essential accessories for every sun-bathing lady since time immemorial (or at least the 30s). She will probably snatch them from my other dolls, provided she gets to come here to stay.

As many had already surmised, the W Club Poppy Parker 5th Anniversary doll was only the first in this year's celebratory collection. For the 2014 IFDC souvenir dolls Integrity Toys made three individually distinctive dolls, retro and glam in style (to match the convention theme), but with a modern edge. These Poppy dolls début a new eye screening and for the first time, they have high-heeled feet, answering a demand made by many collectors frustrated with the ankle joint of the original Poppy body. The bust, torso and arms are the same as the regular Poppy Parker body. The feet on this body are compatible with DG shoes. Not all future Poppy Parker dolls will have this hybrid body; this is only for the 5th anniversary dolls. From what I learned, they were sold out in the convention. W Club also secured a few for their members through a lottery for right to buy.

Poppy is wearing a light aqua ensemble, accessorized with light silver and aqua earrings, cuff bracelet and ring. A satin clutch, aqua metal sunglasses, and matching closed toe leather platform pumps finish off this look. Poppy Parker is wearing a floor length strapless coral and black dress, accessorized with black chrome earrings, necklace and bracelet. The dress on this one is a dead ringer for the FR2 versions of Vanessa and Veronique (in their original sculpts) a few years ago. From the convention photos of the real doll I saw, the pleats are a bit more shaped and rigid. I do not like her make up at all.

I love the hairstyle on this one. Beautiful doll but a bit Barbie looking. The bracelet  is the same as Bittersweet Eugenia's from the 2013 IT convention. The clutch seems dark in the first photo but much brighter in the last one (which probably shows the correct shade). 

Integrity Toys are releasing a new Victoire Roux doll named Prêt à Partir as an IT Direct Exclusive. Members of W Club have already been asked if they want to participate to the lottery through which the right to buy this doll is made available.  It is a gorgeous doll, her screening is beautiful and she comes with a chic outfit but for me it is a no go. Too many dolls coming this time of the year - she would have had to be extra special to entice me. Yes, you have seen the vanity case before in one of the Sabrina dolls (albeit with red trim).
