Integrity Toys 2012 release: Nu Face & FR Homme

After David Buttry finished the Poppy Parker presentation, Carol Roth introduced Vaughan Sawyer, the designer of Nu Face, Fashion Royalty and Hommes collections. He said that the overall name for the collections was Style Directive and the inspirations were period styles made modern and having fun with older looks. The main inspirations for Nu Face were the 20's and Art Deco: dark, bold, strong shapes and colours.

Item #82043 Lead Singles Lillith and Eden™ Two Doll Gift Set Suggested Retail Price: $199.00 US Limited Edition Size: 450 Gift Sets Worldwide Estimated Delivery date: Early July 2012

The twins are coveted by the collectors - they are a sensation every time they appear together or separately. They are wearing multiple outfits that can be combined between them, so from the four complete outfits one can get lots of combinations. I did not like the style of the clothes (Gucci inspired) or the dolls in this set. The shoes have a chunky addition beneath the arch that looks weird. The skirts on the second outfits are multi-layered: chiffon, lace and pleated organza for Eden and lace and organza for Lillith. They come packaged in the look of the first photo. All Nu Face dolls have coloured streaks in their hair.

Item #82044 Live, Work, Play! Giselle Diefendorf™ Mini Gift Set Suggested Retail Price: $125.00 US Limited Edition Size: 600 Mini Gift Sets Worldwide Estimated Delivery date: Early August 2012

I realise now that all Nu Face release are gift-sets! Popular girl Giselle Diefendorf comes in a gift-set with two outfits, one with a paillette skirt (reminiscent of AG Goldmine's skirt) and blue top and one with jacket and leather pants. They can be combined for multiple looks. I love this one and hope to get it. The necklace is gorgeous (like the Monogram doll sold at Collette's had) but the earrings are from older collections. The gorgeous bag is to die for. Her shoes have Lucite heels.

Item #82046 Pop of Color Annik™ Mini Gift Set Suggested Retail Price: $125.00 US Limited Edition Size: 300 Mini Gift Sets Worldwide Estimated Delivery date: Mid August 2012

Annik is a strong sculpt that needs eccentric fashions to come to life. Putting her in cutesy frilly stuff will not help, even if it is in bold colouring and chunky jewellery. Her long curly raven hair are weighing her down even though her skin tone (lighter than her previous incarnation) and make up look great on her. A gift-set again, with two interchangeable looks (which I do not like, shorts again! and that two-layered skirt of the dress is a disaster in the making). I like the back of her dress, it looks interesting (but wait to see this in real life). Her accessories are not that good compared with what the other dolls have. The bracelet is Egyptian -styled.

2012 FR:Homme Collection: Item #91294 Strings Attached Perry Marino™ Dressed Fashion Figure FR:Homme™ Collection Suggested Retail Price: $110.00 US Limited Edition Size: 400 Dolls Worldwide Estimated Delivery Date: Early August 2012

Perry Marino is Natalia Fatalé's ex husband in the long saga that is the Fashion Royalty storyline. He has been in there since the beginning way way back and emerged as a doll only now. He probably uses the Dracula sculpt (although the designers said it is a new one) but looks more like John Davidson than a fashion mogul. His pants are also way too tight for a man his age and status. I love Hommes but not this one.He sports a jacket and matching plaid vest over a contrast collar shirt (which is considered more formal) and lilac tie. He has tasselled loafers, a watch and ring.

Integrity Toys 2012 release: Poppy Parker

For the main part of 2012 Poppy Parker collection (remember that Poppy also made her appearance at IDEX this year alongside Chip and Darla and Sabrina?) the company chose to continue with her trip to England - where she went with Darla to work and is chaperoned by Chip and his family. SO the mood is Mod - 60's swinging London, inspirations from Mary Quant, mods, Vidal Sassoon etc. All dolls have applied eyelashes this time (instead of painted ones) at the upper lid.

Item #PP036 Sunshine Games Poppy Parker™ Dressed Doll Suggested Retail Price: $79.00 US Limited Edition Size: 500 Dolls Worldwide Estimated Delivery date: Mid July 2012

The latina skin-tone is what makes this one pop out, along with her lovely make up colours. The outfit is a striped bathing suit in hot pink and lime green. A pink and white hat, white sandals, white hoop earrings, matching sunglasses and a pink and white tote bag finish off her accessories. Lovely brunette hair in pigtails! I like her a lot but I had to pick only two Poppys (having already one coming from the Chip/Poppy gift-set from IDEX). So not now.

Item #PP037 She's Not There Poppy Parker™ Dressed Doll Suggested Retail Price: $99.00 US Limited Edition Size: 600 Dolls Worldwide Estimated Delivery date: Mid June 2012

If this is not Twiggy I will eat my hat! Those eyes! That hair! The outfit! The earrings! The boots! Poppy is wearing a black and white mini dress, red fishnet stockings, and a white and black coat with matching hood. She comes with a pair of regular hands and another pair of painted glove hands. She has a white bag trimmed in black and matching peep-toe boots. Her amazing earrings are striped white baubles hanging from her ears. Red huge sunglasses (like W Club Poppy's from last year) complete the look. This is my favourite from the whole collection!

Item #PP038 Day Tripper Poppy Parker™ Dressed Doll Suggested Retail Price: $99.00 US Limited Edition Size: 500 Dolls Worldwide Estimated Delivery date: Mid July 2012

Freckles! First time ever on a Poppy! Her fashion consists of a blue mini dress with canary yellow accents and fake pockets, a yellow coat and hat, and matching yellow go-go boots. A blue train case and blue stud earrings complete her look. Too much yellow for my taste.

Item #PP039 The Happening Poppy Parker™ Dressed Doll Suggested Retail Price: $89.00 US Limited Edition Size: 600 Dolls Worldwide Estimated Delivery date: Mid July 2012

When I saw this one I though: "Meghan Draper"! She reminds me so much of Jessica Pare in Mad Men! She wears a splashy silver sequin mini dress, metallic fishnets and silver sling-back bow shoes. Her hair is pulled up in a very  long raven ponytail. Incredibly beautiful drop earrings and a silver clutch complete the look. Yes, she has purple eyes. I can just imagine her doing the Zoo Bisou Bisou number! She's my second pick from this collection.

Item #PP040 Colour My World Darla Daley™ Dressed Doll Suggested Retail Price: $99.00 US Limited Edition Size: 400 Dolls Worldwide Estimated Delivery date: Mid June 2012

Of course her best friend would not be missing! Darla is wearing a copy of the famous Mondrian dress of YSL (so much for the street inspiration the IT designers said they had) but it is a pale imitation - the colours are not as vibrant and it looks flat on the doll (maybe the photos are over exposed). Her shoes are black and white heels, she has a matching bag and a blue hat. And to think she looks her best yet in this incarnation. Poor girl. If the dress was better, this would have been my first Darla. Maybe when I see real life pics... who knows?

Item #PP041 Bus Stop Darla Daley™ Dressed Doll Suggested Retail Price: $89.00 US Limited Edition Size: 400 Dolls Worldwide Estimated Delivery date: Mid July 2012

The second Darla doll is wearing something that Twiggy was sporting in a photo session back in the 60s: a striped jersey dress with white details, paired with a white straw hat with a black band, black and white shoes, and white fishnets. Orange handbag to die for. Her hair is red and she has a spit curl which is a great addition to her looks. She comes with a set of regular hands and one set of painted glove hands.

Is this the inspiration?

Item #PP042 My Generation Chip Farnsworth III™ Dressed Doll Suggested Retail Price: $99.00 US Limited Edition Size: 450 Dolls Worldwide Estimated Delivery date: Mid July 2012

This version of Chip, although gorgeously outfitted, does nothing for me. Chip Farnsworth III is not a mod guy, he's an american heir, his get up should be a bit more conservative. So no-no this time. Chip wears black and white houndstooth trousers, black turtleneck, black pea-coat, a matching black cap and black Chelsea boots. He looks just like that Pan Am captain, Dean Lowery, played by Mike Vogel.
